The Chisasibi Fitness Center

The Chisasibi Fitness Center is a modern and innovative training facility for all fitness enthusiasts. Personal training, strength training programs, weight loss and group fitness are some of the services provided. It provides the safest training programs in the Cree Nation. 

The Chisasibi Fitness Center has been developing fitness programs and Certifying Personal Trainers since 2008.

Our group of Certified Trainers speak Cree, English and French. All our programs are developed by Cree Nation of Chisasibi community members.

Weight Loss

Combination of machine, free weights and conditioning (help you lose weight and achieve a healthy lifestyle). 50% Strength Training / 50% Conditioning

Strength Training

Strength training helps build strength and size of skeletal muscles. Integration of heavy lifting and conditioning to help build strength and stamina. 80% Strength Training / 20% Conditioning

Power Lifting

A program that emphasizes squatting, deadlifts and the bench press. A strength sport measuring your absolute strength in 3 lifts lifts: Bench press, squat and deadlift (train and build strength with the barbell for the main "big three") Beginner too advanced. 90% Powerlifting / 10% Conditioning

Endurance

Endurance training or resistance training using high-intensity intervals. This Cross training model is 80% conditioning / 20% Strength Training. It targets muscular endurance.

Elite Athlete

A training program that will help athletes for their specific sport by incorporating weight training and conditioning into their training regime.

Where: Chisasibi Fitness Center

Who: Age 6-12 years old

Cost: 5 weeks ($60.00 a week or $260.00 for the 5 weeks)

When: June 17th to July 12th 2019

Where: Youth Center

Time: 06:30 P.M. – 08:00 P.M.

Who: Boys & Girls aged 7 to 17 years of age

Cost: $50.00 for all sessions (Football Academy T-Shirt Included)

Football Academy Coach: Current McGill University Football Player Vincent MacDonald

Specialized training program for elite athletes (hockey, football, basketball, broom ball and more)

When: July 1st to August 10th, 2019

Where: Chisasibi Fitness Center

Who: Boys & Girls aged 7 to 17 years of age

Cost: $125.00 weekly (Includes meal plan and training gear)

Featuring: Daily activity program for strength, speed, endurance and sport training.
