The Chisasibi Fitness Center

The Chisasibi Fitness Center is a modern and innovative training facility for all fitness enthusiasts. Personal training, strength training programs, weight loss and group fitness are some of the services provided. It provides the safest training programs in the Cree Nation. 

The Chisasibi Fitness Center has been developing fitness programs and Certifying Personal Trainers since 2008.

Our group of Certified Trainers speak Cree, English and French. All our programs are developed by Cree Nation of Chisasibi community members. 


Memo to all new and current members of the Chisasibi Fitness Center

Effective Monday, February 15th, 2021, the Chisasibi Fitness Center will be allowing members to 3 training visits + 1 cardio bookings per week. There is an enormous amount of community members wishing to use our services at this present time. 4 PM-6 PM time slots are reserved for After School Program (Elementary & Secondary) exclusively. On pedagogical days, these time slots will be available.

If you have any questions in regards to training programs for a 3 day cycle, I recommend speaking with one of our Certified Trainers to help you manage the proper volume and intensities needed to benefit from this training model.

Weight Loss

Combination of machine, free weights and conditioning (help you lose weight and achieve a healthy lifestyle). 50% Strength Training / 50% Conditioning

Strength Training

Strength training helps build strength and size of skeletal muscles. Integration of heavy lifting and conditioning to help build strength and stamina. 80% Strength Training / 20% Conditioning

Power Lifting

A program that emphasizes squatting, deadlifts and the bench press. A strength sport measuring your absolute strength in 3 lifts lifts: Bench press, squat and deadlift (train and build strength with the barbell for the main "big three") Beginner too advanced. 90% Powerlifting / 10% Conditioning


Endurance training or resistance training using high-intensity intervals. This Cross training model is 80% conditioning / 20% Strength Training. It targets muscular endurance.

Elite Athlete

A training program that will help athletes for their specific sport by incorporating weight training and conditioning into their training regime.
