Who We Are

Developing activities for all ages to promote daily physical activity

The Chisasibi Fitness Center has been developing fitness training programs since 2008. Our group of experienced Certified Personal Trainers can help members achieve their fitness goals using our 4 state of the art training areas. Equipped with free weights, dumbbells, kettlebells, power racks and cardio equipment, the Chisasibi Fitness Center has the best functional training layout in Eeyou Istchee.
The creation of our new “Cree Health, Fitness and Sport Literacy Program” will enable community members to engage in weekly activities which promote health, fitness and sport. Joining one of the programs will help participants learn about health topics, follow a structured program or improve their performance in sport. Single mothers, children, youth, adults and elders can enjoy one of the 4 semi-private training areas for one hour, 2-6 times a week, based on their program choice.

The Chisasibi Fitness Center has been developing fitness programs and certifying Personal Trainers since 2008. Our group of Certified Trainers speak Cree, English and French. All our programs are developed by Cree Nation of Chisasibi community members.

Area 2

Turf, Assault Bike, SkiERG, Barbells, Dumbbells, Kettle Bells, 4 station Power Rack, Prowler.

Area 3

Turf, Squat Rack, Assault Bike, Barbells, Dumbbells, Kettle Bells, Multi-Cable Station, Lat-Pull Down Station, Bench Press, Rowing Machine.

Area 4

Treadmill, Turf, Squat Rack, Assault Bike, Barbells, Dumbbells, Kettle Bells, Chest Press Machine, Rowing Machine.
