Chief Robert Kanatewat Airport

Robert Kanatewat Airport was named after the Chisasibi Chief Robert Kanatewat who was one of the signatory of the 1975 James Bay Northern Quebec Agreement (JBNQA).
The facility itself have been unveiled in 2006. The terminal is operated by the Cree Nation of Chisasibi. It is located on the South shore of La Grande river, 5 km on the North West side of the community of Chisasibi.
It welcomes airplanes from the airline company Air Creebec and also support the Cree Board of Health and Social Services of James Bay (CBHSSJB) with the services they are providing to the Eeyou Istchee territory.

Air Creebec is a regional airline based in Waskaganish, Quebec. It operates regularly scheduled flights, charter and freight services to 16 destinations in Quebec and Ontario.
